Backflow refers to the unintentional reversal of flow in a potable water system that may result in contamination or pollution to the system. All Commercial Businesses and Manufacturing are required to provide backflow protection for their incoming water from the City. All Backflow devices must be tested annually and a copy of the test results must be sent to the City Of Franklin Public Works Department, 202 Baxter Dr. Franklin, Ohio 45005, ( 937) 746-5001. You can download the City’s Annual Test and Maintenance Report Form [PDF] here or fill the form out online by clicking here and searching for the device's serial number.

Water and Sewer Line Service Plans

The City of Franklin has with Service Line Warranties of America (SLWA) to offer protection to city homeowners for the water and sewer service lines that connect their homes to the city ’s systems. Many homeowners are unaware that repairs and replacements to these lines are their responsibility and are not covered by basic homeowners’ insurance or by the city.

Founded in 2003, SLWA has partnered with nearly 700 leading cities and municipalities in the US to provide repair service plans that offer homeowners peace of mind and convenience. SLWA’s program is endorsed by the National League of Cities and the company has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. For questions about this service, or to enroll, please contact SLWA at 866-922-9006 or visit www.slwofa.com
