Building Inspection
 
The Building Inspection Division of the Department of Safety administers all codes related to construction within the City.  These codes regulate the construction and maintenance of all structures within the City and promote the quality of life, health and safety of its citizens.

The Building Inspection Division monitors and insures that adequate standards of construction are met.  All aspects of construction, including zoning, building, electrical, mechanical and fire safety, are reviewed, permitted, inspected and approved through the Division.

The Building Inspection Division is State of Ohio certified to accomplish this mission and has been since 1969.  The personnel of employed in this Division are certified by the State of Ohio to accomplish the mission established by City Council for the construction of all structures within the City.
