Capt. Abston has been serving the City of Franklin, Divison of Fire as a full time employee since April 19, 1996 and since November 19, 1984 as a call firefighter.
In March of 2003 Captain Abston completed study as Fire Officer 1 receiving an accredited certificate from the National Fire Protection Association. Captain Abston currently serves as Fire Marshal charged with the daily operations of the Loss Prevention Bureau, including customer service, fire inspections and public educaiton activities.
Captain Abston holds numerous certificates in fire suppression, extrication, building inspections, sprinkler systems, and is certified by the State of Ohio as an Emergency Medical Technician- Basic.
Captain Abston, an original founder of the City of Franklin Professional Firefighters, proudly serves as IAFF 3742 President.
Captain Abston is an advocate for firefighter safety, and works hard to keep the citizens and firefighters of Franklin safe.
Captain Abston serves the Ohio Association of Professional Firefighters, sub-committee on exposures.
Captain Abston is proudly dedicated to serving the Franklin community, which we all call home. |

| Dixon, Stuart - Captain |

Stuart Dixon began serving the City of Franklin, Division of Fire in 1986 as a call firefighter. In June of 1988 Stuart was hired as a career member of the department. Stuart was promoted to the rank of Captain in 1992. Captain Dixon presently serves as the Operations and Training Captain for the City of Franklin, Division of Fire.
Captain Dixon assisted in forming the Greater Warren County Hazardous Materials Team. This team was a joint venture between the City of Franklin, City of Lebanon, Clearcreek Township, and Franklin Township Fire Departments. A charter member f the team, Captain Dixon served as the team coordinator. The Greater Warren County Team has since transformed into the Warren County Hazardous Materials Team.
Captain Dixon completed study as Fire Officer 1 in August of 2003 meeting standards established by the National Fire Protection Association. Captain Dixon has also completed courses of study in Incident Command from the National Fire Academy and Texas A & M University, and advanced training from The National Fire Academy, The Ohio Fire Academy, and Cleveland State University in Hazardous Materials response and mitigation.
Captain Dixon is also a certified EMT-B, Fire Inspector, Rope Rescue Technician, Pump Operator, Aerial Operator, Personnel Management, Customer Service Representative, and additional instruction in Managing Company Tactical Operations.
Captain Dixon has completed the Warren County Rapid Intervention Team train the trainer course developed by the Warren County Fire Chiefs Association in coordination with the Warren County Career Center. Captain Dixon is a great supporter of Fire Fighter safety and is an advocate for countywide R.I.T. policies and procedures.
Captain Dixon is proud to serve the customers of the City of Franklin Division of Fire and is dedicated to further improving these services.
