2020 Solid Waste & Commingled Recyclables Collection and Disposal Services
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City of Franklin, Warren County, Ohio, until July 15, 2020, at 1:00 p.m., local time, for the provision of solid waste and commingled recyclables collection and disposal services for the City of Franklin, according to the Instructions to Bidders, General Conditions and Specifications included with the bid packets.
Copies of the bid packets may be obtained at the City of Franklin Municipal Building, 1 Benjamin Franklin Way, Franklin, Ohio 45005, (937) 746- 9921, upon payment of a nonrefundable deposit of $25.00. Bid packets requested to be sent by mail will be an additional $20.00 per packet. Bids shall be delivered to the same address and the outside of the sealed Bid shall be clearly marked with "City of Franklin Refuse Collection Bid."
Bids are to be submitted on the following proposal: the provision of solid waste and commingled
recyclables collection and disposal services for the City of Franklin, including basic residential-type collection, yard waste collection, and collection from City-owned facilities for a three-year period, with bids submitted on a per year basis, beginning October 1, 2020.
Pursuant to ORC Section 153.54, no bid shall be considered unless it is accompanied by a Bid Bond for the full amount of the bid -OR- a cashier's check or certified check, issued by a responsible bank or trust company and payable to the order of the City of Franklin, in the sum of at least ten percent (10%) of the bid. The Bid Guaranty shall be enclosed with the sealed bid.
The City of Franklin reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or discrepancies in the bids. The bid will be awarded, in the City's discretion, to the lowest and best bidder.
