Noxious Weeds Notice

The owners of all premises, whether residential, non-residential, commercial, or industrial, and whether occupied or vacant, are required by City ordinance to cut down and remove therefrom all offensive and noxious weeds, vines and grass of a height of eight (8) inches or more between April 1 and November 1.

The owner, agent of owner or occupant of each lot adjacent to a street or alley shall be responsible for the area between the curb and the sidewalk, or between the edge of the street and the property line where there is no curb or sidewalk.

Failure to comply with these regulations may result in a written notice to cut being served upon the property owner, and only one notice per calendar year is required per lot, parcel or premises. Failure to comply with a written notice to cut within five (5) days of service of notice may result in the City causing such weeds, vines or grass to be removed and the costs of such removal, together with a $298 administrative fee being charged against the property.
