NOTICE TO PROPERTY OWNERS OF PASSAGE OF RESOLUTION OF NECESSITY AND ESTIMATED ASSESSMENTS

To: All property owners within the corporate limits of the City of Franklin

On March 18, 2024, the Council of the City of Franklin, Ohio, passed Resolution 2024-20 declaring the necessity of improving City streets and public ways by lighting, said lighting to be provided by electric lighting for the year 2025.

The plans and estimated total cost of the street lighting improvement assessments are now on file in the office of the Clerk and are available for inspection.

The resolution provides that the entire cost of the improvement, less two percent (2%) of the costs to be borne by the City, shall be assessed upon all lots and lands within the corporate limits of the City of Franklin.  The assessments shall be levied by percentage of the tax value of the property assessed, and shall be paid, when levied, in two (2) semi-annual installments; provided, however, that the owner of any property assessed may, at his or her option, pay the assessment in cash within thirty (30) days after the passage of the ordinance levying the assessments.

Any objections to the estimated assessment as to amount or apportionment must be filed, in writing, with the Clerk of Council by April 10, 2024.

By order of the Council of the City of Franklin, Ohio.
